Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced professional to perform complex analytical investigations utilizing existing databases and monitoring structures to support investigative activities, national and local law enforcement strategies, and the development of crime prevention measures. The ideal candidate will develop analytic products that can be disseminated and utilized in law enforcement groups to enhance strategic and tactical planning, inter-agency partnership, resource prioritization, and workload allocation.

Key Responsibilities

As an Intelligence Analyst at arenaflex, you will be entrusted with significant responsibilities that include:


  • Analytical Investigation Design: Design and develop complex analytical investigations and projects, including identifying intelligence and investigative methodologies, data retrieval, compilation, and extrapolation to support comprehensive analysis.

  • Intelligence Synthesis: Develop, analyze, and synthesize intelligence data and displays using tables, complex spreadsheets, graphs, flow charts, and reports to facilitate and support law enforcement investigations, prosecutions, operational planning, and crime prevention measures.

  • Advanced Analysis: Perform in-depth and complex analyses on illicit international activities, emerging criminal trends and patterns, new product vulnerabilities, and inter-agency data monitoring structures gaps and opportunities.

  • Database Utilization: Utilize existing internal and external databases and monitoring systems to identify data trends, patterns, and networks that may be relevant to ongoing investigations or emerging threats.

  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance to inspectors and other personnel as needed to expedite investigative and prosecution activities, ensuring that analytical insights are effectively translated into operational outcomes.

  • Quantitative Research: Design, organize, and implement quantitative research and opinions to support data-driven decision making and prioritization of investigative resources and national and local strategic policy improvement.

  • Professional Representation: Serve as a technical resource and professional on investigative and intelligence project organizations and panels, providing supporting documentation at administrative and judicial hearings in civil and criminal court proceedings.

  • External Collaboration: Maintain liaison contacts with other law enforcement and non-law enforcement agencies, and participate in professional institutions and conferences to stay current with emerging trends and best practices in intelligence analysis.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:


  • Intelligence Sources Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of sources, databases, and techniques of gathering intelligence data, including understanding of various intelligence collection methodologies and their applications.

  • Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of information technology sufficient to analyze and communicate with internal and external secure electronic databases, demonstrating proficiency in database management and data retrieval systems.

  • Analytical Capabilities: Ability to conduct intelligence research and interviews to support financial, tactical, and strategic analyses, with strong attention to detail and ability to identify patterns in complex datasets.

  • Data Assessment Skills: Ability to assess data and information in complex and varied forms in order to determine information significance, integrity, and reliability within a law enforcement context.

  • Database Management: Ability to analyze and prepare various types of data and information into database and monitoring structures to facilitate the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data.

  • Quality Assurance: Ability to use quantitative and qualitative evaluative techniques to ensure integrity, quality, and reliability of intelligence data and analytic products.

  • Visual Communication: Ability to develop complex spreadsheets, tables, graphs, flow charts, and other visual depictions to facilitate the display and interpretation of data, trends, and patterns.

  • Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing to clearly convey information, findings, and recommendations to various audiences, both internal and external.

Education and Experience Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Relevant coursework in criminal justice, data analysis, intelligence studies, or related fields is highly desirable. Previous experience in law enforcement intelligence, analytical research, or investigative support is preferred but not required for qualified candidates who demonstrate strong analytical capabilities and a commitment to public service.

Competitive Compensation

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $30-40 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive base pay rates and regular income increases, most employees may receive overtime pay, night shift differential, and Sunday premium pay depending on the position held.

There are many plans available, including Fee-For-Service, Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs), and High Deductible & Consumer-Driven Health Plans. Employee premium contributions are not subject to most taxes, making health insurance even more affordable.

Dental and Vision Coverage

Employees are eligible to participate in the Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP). While employees pay the full cost, this program's coverage offers excellent insurance at rates made even more affordable because premium contributions are not subject to taxes.

Retirement Benefits

arenaflex participates in the federal retirement program, which provides a defined benefit (pension), as well as disability insurance. Eligibility is determined by your age and number of years of creditable service. Additionally, career employees may contribute to the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP), which is similar to 401(k) retirement savings plans offered by private sector employers. Employees contribute to TSP on a tax-deferred basis and can receive automatic and matching contributions (up to five percent of pay) from arenaflex.

Work-Life Balance

We understand the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance. arenaflex offers valuable annual (vacation) and sick leave – 13 days of annual leave per year for the first three years, increasing to 20 days per year after three years of service, and to 26 days per year after 15 years of service. In addition, full-time employees earn 4 hours per pay period as insurance against loss of income due to illness or accident. We also observe 10 holidays per year, providing our team with regular rest and recovery time.
