About the Role

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at arenaflex, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the creation, establishment, and support of data analysis and machine learning models that power our attractions and visitor experiences. You'll work closely with internal partners to deliver elite visitor experiences through intelligent and data systems across arenaflex Experiences. This position reports to our Attractions Functional Innovation team and offers tremendous opportunities for professional growth in a cutting-edge technological environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Foster and Develop Relationships: Build strong partnerships with team members and colleagues, providing thought leadership and demonstrating influence by driving initiatives to completion effectively and efficiently.


• Engage with Research: Collaborate with research teams and colleagues to help drive machine learning strategies, and identify areas where business problems can be solved creatively through the application of machine learning technologies.


• Lead Technical Initiatives: Lead and work with various specialists and data scientists to execute and successfully scale machine learning solutions that create extraordinary experiences for our visitors and push the boundaries of operational goals.


• Drive Innovation: Lead research and development, proofs of concept, technology initiatives, and client interactions that result in developing top-tier AI platforms.


• Manage Operations: Oversee operational support and maintenance of machine learning-related products and services delivered by the team.


• Build Standard Processes: Establish standard methodologies used in daily operations and work with specialized units to design, plan, and execute large-scale projects in the AI and machine learning space.


• Productionize ML Solutions: Productionize machine learning algorithms in predictive analytics, clustering, image recognition, natural language processing, anomaly detection, and more, evaluating their performance on real-world datasets.


• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with different teams to achieve goals in improving system performance and coordinate with existing software practices that produce maintainable code, including automated testing, continuous integration, code style consistency, and code reviews.

Required Qualifications and Skills

To succeed in this role, you'll need a strong technical foundation and hands-on experience with modern machine learning technologies. We welcome candidates who are passionate about leveraging data to create impactful solutions.

Essential Requirements

• Programming Expertise: 2+ years of mastery in Python with predictive modeling experience using frameworks such as TensorFlow, SparkMLib, PySpark, LightGBM, MXNet, and similar tools.


• Cloud Platform Experience: 2+ years of expert-level experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS (Amazon Web Services) and GCP (Google Cloud Platform).


• Software Development Skills: Proficiency in SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), QA processes, and Object-Oriented Programming Design Patterns.


• Data Management: Expert-level experience with structured and unstructured data (including images, video, text, audio, and more) and SQL relational and NoSQL databases.


• Workflow Management: 2+ years of experience with Airflow or another data workflow management tool.


• Version Control and MLOps: Experience with version control software such as GitHub and GitLab, Model Operations, and CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) pipelines.


• Business Acumen: Experience in driving discovery processes with partners to identify business requirements and expected outcomes, combined with strong interpersonal skills and a determination to see tasks through to completion.


• Systems Integration: Strong systems integration architecture skills, capable of transforming new technology into business solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following skills and experiences would make you an even stronger candidate:

• Experience with Docker containerization technology


• Experience with configuration management tools


• Experience with Kubernetes orchestration


• Experience with cloud solutions in GCP or other cloud platforms


• Experience with Atlassian Tools such as Jira and Confluence


• Experience with Agile development methodologies


• Experience with automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous deployment


• Experience with data visualization and data monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Plotly, Tableau)


• Experience with audio analysis


• Experience with text analysis and natural language processing

Education Requirements

• Required: Bachelor's of Science in Data Science, Statistics, Programming, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar technical background.


• Preferred: Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Programming, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar technical background.
