Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Hardware Production & Supply Chain Optimization
Posted 2026-05-06Join arenaflex and Help Build the Future of Computing Infrastructure
Are you ready to be part of something extraordinary? At arenaflex, we craft some of the most powerful computing systems on the planet. Our custom hardware forms the backbone of global digital infrastructure, powering everything from search results to cloud services used by billions of people every single day. We are seeking a talented and passionate Manufacturing Engineer to join our Manufacturing Operations team and play a critical role in bringing cutting-edge hardware to life.
This is not just another engineering job—this is an opportunity to work at the intersection of innovation, manufacturing excellence, and global supply chain management. As a Manufacturing Engineer at arenaflex, you will evaluate product designs, create processes, tools, and procedures that power arenaflex's search technology. When our vendors assemble components for our infrastructure, you'll be right there ensuring manufacturing processes are repeatable, controlled, and optimized for excellence.
What You'll Do
As an integral member of our Manufacturing Operations team, you will collaborate with Product Managers and Design Engineers to determine infrastructure needs and product specifications. Your work ensures that the diverse pieces of arenaflex's systems fit together seamlessly, keeping our systems humming along smoothly for a seamless customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Design Excellence: Lead surveys among Design and Operations Engineering to drive requirements that are essential to executing Design for Excellence (DFX) and test strategy. You'll be the bridge between design intent and manufacturing reality.
- Ensure Manufacturing Success: Guarantee plant availability, support manufacturing line raises, provide product troubleshooting training, and gather feedback on build issues. Manage the bone pile and drive yield span analysis to continuously improve product quality.
- Risk Assessment: Work with the Product team to highlight risks and develop mitigation plans. This role requires on-site collaboration with providers and may involve working locally up to 5 days per week in our partner locations.
- Quality Leadership: Collaborate with Quality Engineers to establish product quality and reliability targets. Approve product capability plans, support reliability testing, and review results to ensure product performance meets stringent requirements.
- New Product Introduction: Coordinate the release of New Product Introduction (NPI) Bill of Materials (BOMs) into Product Data Management (PDM) systems. Support second-source part capability and release of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Manufacturing Change Orders (MCOs).
- Supplier Collaboration: Work closely with Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs), Contract Manufacturers (CMs), and component suppliers for data center server-class products, including GPU, FPGA, and ASIC accelerators.
What We're Looking For
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. We value real-world experience and proven skills just as much as formal education.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an organization developing supply chains in manufacturing and testing environments. You should understand the complexities of bringing hardware from design to production.
- Hands-on experience working with Original Design Makers (ODMs), contract manufacturers, and component suppliers for data center server-type products. Understanding the ecosystem of hardware manufacturing is essential.
Preferred Qualifications
- Extended experience (5+ years) in supply chain development within manufacturing and testing, with a track record of successful product launches.
- Specific experience working with Original Design Makers (ODMs), Contract Manufacturers (CMs), and part providers for data center class server accelerator items including GPU, FPGA, or ASIC technologies—the cutting edge of computing hardware.
- Proven experience creating and executing design validation test plans for complex electronic assemblies. You should be comfortable developing comprehensive test strategies from the ground up.
- Deep understanding of ASIC DFT (Design for Test) and ATE (Automated Test Equipment) test processes, as well as post-silicon validation. This is crucial for ensuring hardware quality at scale.
- Strong technical skills including proficiency in SQL queries and scripting in Python or C/C++. These tools are essential for data analysis, automation, and process optimization in modern manufacturing environments.
