About the Role
We are seeking a SharePoint Consultant to join our client‑facing Modern Work consulting practice. This role is responsible for leading customer engagements end‑to‑end, delivering SharePoint Online architecture, migrations, governance, and automation, and serving as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise clients.
This is a hands‑on delivery role. You will be expected to lead discovery, design solutions, execute implementations, and guide clients through adoption and long‑term operational success. Experience working in professional services / consulting is required.
Core Responsibilities
Client Delivery (Required)
- Lead client engagements delivering SharePoint Online solutions from discovery through production rollout.
- Facilitate client workshops to gather requirements, document current state, and define future‑state solutions.
- Own technical delivery outcomes including scope, quality, timelines, and client satisfaction.
- Produce client‑ready deliverables such as architecture diagrams, governance plans, migration runbooks, and handover documentation.
- Act as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders (IT leaders, business owners, project sponsors).
SharePoint Online Architecture & Governance (Required)
- Design and implement modern SharePoint Online architectures, including:
- Hub and site structures
- Navigation models
- Permissions and security patterns
- Information architecture (metadata, content types, search experience)
- Define and implement SharePoint governance covering site provisioning, ownership, lifecycle management, and external sharing.
- Align SharePoint structure and permissions to business, security, and compliance requirements.
Migrations & Modernization (Required)
- Lead and execute SharePoint migrations including:
- File shares → SharePoint Online
- SharePoint Server → SharePoint Online
- SharePoint Online tenant‑to‑tenant migrations
- Plan migration waves, remediation activities, validation, and cutover support.
- Use third‑party migration tools (e.g., Sharegate or equivalent) as part of delivery.
Power Platform (Required)
- Design and build business solutions using:
- Power Apps (forms, canvas apps over SharePoint data)
- Power Automate (workflow automation, approvals, notifications, integrations)
- Modernize legacy processes (e.g., InfoPath, manual workflows, email‑driven processes).
- Deliver production‑ready solutions with appropriate error handling, documentation, and support handoff.
Copilot Readiness & Copilot Studio (Required)
- Participate in Copilot readiness and governance engagements, ensuring SharePoint content, permissions, and structure support AI use cases.
- Build Copilot Studiosolutions (no‑code/low‑code), including:
- Internal help or knowledge agents
- Process or task‑oriented agents
- Agent flows using Power Platform connectors
- Understand and apply Copilot Studio governance concepts, including knowledge sources, connectors/actions, environments, and data controls.
Pre‑Sales Support (Required)
- Support pre‑sales activities as needed, including:
- Solution design and approach definition
- Scoping and effort estimation
- Technical input for proposals and statements of work
Team Leadership (Required)
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior consultants.
- Contribute to internal standards, templates, and reusable delivery assets.
Must‑Have Qualifications (Non‑Negotiable)
Candidates must meet all of the following:
- 7+ years of hands‑on experience with SharePoint, with significant SharePoint Online delivery experience
- 3+ years working in a client‑facing consulting or professional services role
- Proven experience leading SharePoint migrations, including on‑premises to SharePoint Online and/or tenant‑to‑tenant
- Strong, demonstrated experience with:
- SharePoint Online architecture and information architecture
- Governance, permissions, and lifecycle management
- Hands‑on experience delivering Power Apps and Power Automate solutions in production
- Hands‑on experience building or contributing to Copilot Studio agents or Copilot readiness initiatives
- Experience working directly with client stakeholders, leading workshops, and producing executive‑ready documentation
- Ability to work independently and lead technical delivery without day‑to‑day supervision
Preferred (Strong Plus)
- Experience with third‑party migration tools such as Sharegate
- Experience delivering Microsoft 365 tenant‑to‑tenant migrations (SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams)
- Familiarity with SPFx or light customization (not a primary requirement)
- Microsoft certifications in Power Platform, Microsoft 365, or Modern Work
