What You'll Do
As a Specialist II in Revenue Accounting, you will play a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity of our revenue operations. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Performing Fundamental Accounting Functions: Execute essential accounting tasks including reviewing accounting data, processing refund claims, processing/working check requests, debit/credit adjustments, journal entries, and more for various Revenue Accounting areas such as payments received, billings, tickets issued/utilized, and related revenue streams.
- Investigating and Resolving Discrepancies: Research and resolve accounting discrepancies promptly, which may include communication with external contacts when necessary. You'll be responsible for identifying issues, analyzing root causes, and implementing effective solutions to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Data Entry and Record Maintenance: Complete accurate data entry of accounting information into our financial systems. You'll maintain precision and attention to detail while输入ting financial data, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and categorized.
- Daily Reconciliation: Adjust/review daily passenger ticket and auxiliary refund requests to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Month-End Closing Support: Distribute and store month-end closing statistical reports, ensuring all financial documentation is properly filed and accessible for audit and review purposes.
- Additional Responsibilities: Perform various functions and impromptu activities as assigned by your immediate supervisor/manager to support the department's/organization's achievement of goals and business objectives. This may include special projects, process improvements, and cross-functional collaboration.

Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED Equivalency
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field, or comparable training/experience
- Previous accounting or financial operations experience, preferably in the airline, travel, or hospitality industry
- Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and accounting software
- Experience with large-scale data processing and financial reconciliation
- Knowledge of industry-specific accounting practices and regulations
Essential Skills, Licenses, and Certificates
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Skilled with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Advanced Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis are highly valued.
- Accounting Knowledge: Knowledge of general accounting principles and procedures. Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) is a plus.
