Position Overview

We are currently looking for an experienced Technical Lead Manager to join our Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) practice. In this critical role, you will ensure the delivery of significant intelligence to meet each client's security or operational requirements, driving informed decision-making and specific actions. You will serve as a guide to a broad network of cybersecurity, threat intelligence, and information operations professionals.

This is a client-facing position based in Virginia, with remote work options available for qualified candidates. As a Technical Lead Manager, you will be responsible for leading threat intelligence initiatives, managing client relationships, and mentoring a team of talented analysts. You will have the opportunity to work with some of the most sophisticated security organizations in the world, helping them navigate the complex landscape of modern cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities

As a Technical Lead Manager at arenaflex, you will be entrusted with diverse and challenging responsibilities that include:

  • Intelligence Delivery: Guarantee the delivery of significant intelligence to every client's security or functional conditions to drive navigation and specific action. You will ensure that actionable insights reach the right stakeholders at the right time.

  • Client Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their unique security needs and delivering tailored threat intelligence solutions that address their specific challenges and objectives.

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and coach a team of CTI analysts, fostering their professional development and ensuring the highest quality of analytical output. You will serve as a trusted advisor to new CTI team members.

  • Strategic Planning: Take complex, ambiguous topics and develop comprehensive strategies that address client needs. You will influence stakeholders across the organization to adopt recommended security measures.

  • Presentation and Communication: Present written or verbal information to both technical and non-technical audiences, translating complex threat data into clear, actionable recommendations. Prepare and deliver executive briefings to senior leadership.

  • Intelligence Correlation: Correlate raw intelligence from sensors, incident response engagements, and various other sources into comprehensive reports and briefings that provide value to clients.

  • Partner Management: Lead, present, and respond to various audiences including executives and senior leadership. Manage relationships with key partners and stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.

  • Methodology Development: Apply CTI techniques and concepts in one or more functional areas: Identify, Secure, Respond, or Recover. Develop and refine analytical methodologies that enhance our threat intelligence capabilities.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in a Threat Intelligence role in a client-facing environment, with a track record of delivering impactful intelligence to external or internal stakeholders.

  • Extensive experience in CTI techniques and applications within at least one of the functional areas: Identify, Secure, Respond, or Recover. You should have a deep understanding of the threat intelligence lifecycle.

  • Proven experience in partner management, including leading presentations and responding to diverse audiences, including C-suite executives and board members.

  • Active US Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Clearance with polygraph. This is a strict requirement due to the sensitive nature of our client work.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will strengthen your application and demonstrate your readiness for this role:

  • Experience in the use, processing, and analysis of strategic (technical) CTI within an operational environment, supporting monitoring, detection, and response capabilities. Familiarity with SIEM platforms, threat intelligence platforms, and security operations is highly valued.

  • Strong understanding of CTI methodologies and application concepts, with the ability to advise and mentor new CTI colleagues. You should be passionate about knowledge sharing and team development.

  • Excellent ability to correlate raw intelligence from multiple sources—including sensors, incident response engagements, threat feeds, and open-source intelligence—into coherent reports and actionable briefings.

  • Outstanding presentation skills, capable of effectively communicating complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience with executive-level communications is a plus.

  • Strong collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in fast-paced, continuously evolving environments. You should thrive under pressure and be comfortable managing multiple competing priorities.

  • Experience working with government agencies or in highly regulated industries is beneficial but not required.
