JRole Overview

We are looking for a tech-savvy Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) to serve as a Virtual Care Coordinator. You will be the "front line" of our Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) program, helping patients successfully integrate life-saving medical technology—specifically home spirometers—into their daily routines. Your goal is to ensure data accuracy, patient compliance, and seamless communication with the clinical team.

    Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Onboarding: Host video calls to walk patients through the unboxing, pairing, and proper technique for using home spirometers and vitals-tracking devices.
  • Daily Data Review: Monitor the RPM dashboard for incoming readings. Ensure patients are testing according to their prescribed schedule.
  • Patient Coaching: Provide low-level clinical coaching on device "best practices" and encourage adherence to the care plan.
  • Clinical Escalation: Use established protocols to identify "red flag" readings (e.g., significant drops in FEV1 or Oxygen levels) and immediately escalate them to the supervising physician or RT.
  • Care Coordination: Document all patient interactions in the EHR and track "billable minutes" to ensure compliance with CMS (Medicare) requirements for RPM/CCM.
    Qualifications & Skills
  • Certification: Active Medical Assistant Certification (CMA via NHA/AAMA or RMA via AMT) is required.
  • Tech Power-User: You must be comfortable troubleshooting mobile apps and Bluetooth connectivity issues over a video call with elderly patients.
  • "Webside Manner": Patience and clarity are vital. You must be able to explain technical steps to patients who may not be familiar with smartphones.
  • Bilingual (Preferred): English/Spanish fluency is a major plus given our Florida patient base.
    Technical Requirements
  • Reliable high-speed internet (minimum 25 Mbps download).
  • A private, quiet, and professional-looking workspace for video calls.
  • Basic understanding of respiratory vitals (SPO2, FEV1, Peak Flow).
