What You'll Do
The Customer Engineer role at arenaflex is dynamic, challenging, and incredibly rewarding. You'll work alongside our technical outreach teams to demonstrate the full capabilities of arenaflex Cloud to prospective clients and partners. This is not a typical technical role—it requires a blend of technical depth, business acumen, and exceptional communication skills.

- Technical Discovery and Solution Design: You'll lead comprehensive technical discovery sessions with clients to understand their business requirements, existing infrastructure, and strategic objectives. Based on this understanding, you'll architect customized cloud solutions that address their specific needs and position them for success.
- Technical Sales Support: Partner with our sales teams to drive revenue growth by providing expert technical guidance throughout the sales cycle. You'll contribute to proposal development, RFI responses, and competitive positioning strategies that showcase the unique value of arenaflex Cloud solutions.
- Product Demonstration and Enablement: Deliver compelling product demonstrations, whiteboard presentations, and technical briefings that bring complex cloud concepts to life. You'll showcase our platform's capabilities through hands-on demos, proof-of-concept implementations, and solution prototyping.
- Technical Guidance and Best Practices: Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing best practice recommendations for cloud architecture, integration strategies, application modernization, and performance optimization. Your insights will help clients maximize the effectiveness of their arenaflex Cloud investments.
- Industry Trend Analysis: Stay ahead of emerging technologies, industry trends, and competitive developments in the cloud computing landscape. You'll collaborate with product marketing and engineering teams to provide feedback on product improvements and identify new market opportunities.
- Client Engagement: Attend client sites, conferences, industry events, and strategic meetings as needed to build relationships, understand evolving needs, and ensure customer satisfaction. Your on-site presence will demonstrate arenaflex's commitment to partnership and client success.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product management, engineering, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure a seamless client experience and continuous improvement of our products and services.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a candidate who brings a unique combination of technical expertise, customer-facing skills, and a passion for cloud technology. The ideal candidate will have experience in technical sales, solutions engineering, or a similar client-facing technical role within the cloud or IT industry.
Minimum Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
- At least two years of experience as a Technical Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or in a similar customer-facing technical role within cloud computing, distributed systems, or enterprise IT.
- Hands-on experience with both legacy and modern application development methodologies, cloud service delivery models, and enterprise networking concepts.
- Practical experience with containerization technologies, including Kubernetes and related orchestration platforms.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture patterns, API management, and microservices design principles.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
- A proven track record of building strong relationships with clients and driving successful technical outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
If you have any of the following qualifications, we'd love to hear from you:
- An active US Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance. This is a significant plus for roles involving government sector clients.
- Experience designing and implementing scalable architectures using API management, microservice frameworks, Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), and container orchestration systems.
- Prior experience working with Government and Public Sector clients, including defense agencies, civilian government organizations, and other public institutions.
- In-depth knowledge of application security frameworks, including web application security, service mesh architecture, and mobile security best practices.
- A passion for learning and staying current with emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the cloud and IT space.
- Experience with arenaflex Cloud or similar public cloud platforms, including solution architecture, migration planning, and optimization.
- Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code concepts.
