The Role: Data Analyst, Streaming Product Insights

As a Data Analyst on our team, you'll work closely with the Senior Manager and partner directly with product teams to analyze and synthesize data, providing essential support for both quantitative and qualitative research projects. Your insights will directly influence key decisions around consumer experience, content curation, and product optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Research Support: Assist with a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research activities, including data collection, data coaching, and extraction and evaluation of data from multiple sources to build summaries, tables, and report sections.
- Data Integration: Combine disparate data sets using SQL to support the daily operations of our consumer experience monitoring program, ensuring data integrity and accessibility across teams.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with various departments to conduct research, including communicating project goals, business needs, and timelines to effectively prioritize, innovate, and optimize our datasets.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with research counterparts within the team and from other divisions, as well as external vendors and partners.
- Analysis & Reporting: Analyze and prepare ongoing and ad-hoc reviews using quantitative and qualitative data for various organizations in product marketing, engagement, and product strategy.
- Project Management: Manage assigned projects, implementing best assurance processes, and report duties and status to supervisors to ensure completion within established timeframes.
- Strategic Alignment: Work with the Senior Manager and team to ensure that each outcome is strategically actionable and drives key decision-making for the business.
- Technical Collaboration: Collaborate with team and analytics organizations within Snowflake and Databricks environments to maintain and enhance our analytical infrastructure.
- Knowledge Management: Maintain current verbal and written knowledge of data points and requirements to ensure accuracy and consistency across all deliverables.
- Client Support: Respond to essential data requests from internal clients with urgency and precision.
- Presentation & Communication: Support presentation of findings based on research performed and contribute to related business discussions with stakeholders at all levels.
- Industry Awareness: Stay at the forefront of streaming and in-home business trends amidst a constantly evolving entertainment landscape.
Work Arrangement
This position follows a hybrid work model: in-person collaboration from Monday through Thursday, with remote work options available on Fridays. This arrangement balances the benefits of team collaboration with the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to thrive both professionally and personally.
Basic Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Statistics, Economics, Psychology, Data Sciences, or related field with three years of relevant work experience OR Master's Degree in a related field with one year of relevant work experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SQL, with the ability to extract and integrate disparate data resources from multiple sources.
- Analytical Abilities: Strong quantitative reasoning and exceptional analytical abilities to transform complex data into actionable insights.
- Data Integration: Ability to extract data and integrate with other data sources to develop a rich, complete picture for the business.
- Adaptability: Ability to work swiftly and effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Communication: Outstanding communication and critical thinking abilities, with the capability to create clear and concise visual presentations.
- Multi-tasking: Strong multitasking abilities and the capability to work effectively in an environment of tight timelines and regular change.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in data processing tools such as SPSS, Q, or MarketSight.
- Experience with survey tools including Decipher, Qualtrics, or SurveyMonkey.
- Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, ideally cloud-based, including Snowflake, Databricks, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as R, Python, SAS, or STATA.
- Advanced degree in Market Research or Statistics.
- Quantitative research background, either supplier-side or client-side.
- Experience analyzing survey data to extract actionable insights.
- Experience with subscription-based business models and strategy.
