Position Overview: Senior Data Analyst

We are seeking a talented Senior Data Analyst to join our Data Adventures team on a part-time basis. As a Senior Data Analyst at arenaflex, you will play a prominent technical role that contributes to revealing critical data insights and delivering exceptional business results. You will work closely with our Product and Data Science teams to develop comprehensive analytical frameworks that drive organizational growth. This position offers flexibility through remote work arrangements while maintaining meaningful collaboration with cross-functional teams.
What You'll Do
As an integral member of our Data Adventures team, your responsibilities will span across multiple dimensions of data analysis and business intelligence:
- Business Requirements Analysis: Thoroughly understand business information requirements and analyze business systems and processes to identify the most appropriate data sources that serve specific purposes.
- Statistical Methodology: Support the identification and application of statistical techniques based on project requirements. Assist in the planning, design, and execution of exploratory data analysis research projects.
- Project Translation: Convert business requirements into structured projects, activities, and tasks while developing specific deliverables. Identify appropriate methodologies and tools to provide effective solutions to complex business problems.
- Collaboration with Data Scientists: Work closely with Data Scientists to translate analytical findings into business-friendly language and actionable recommendations.
- Data Visualization: Generate appropriate graphical representations of data and model results. Understand client requirements to design suitable data visualizations for various datasets.
- Insight Storytelling: Transform complex data findings into compelling narratives that drive strategic decision-making across the organization.
- Data Quality Assurance: Ensure data integrity and accuracy throughout the analysis process, implementing best practices for data validation and quality control.
What You'll Bring

Essential Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Analytical Mindset: A genuine passion for problem-solving with a strong analytical approach and excellent critical thinking skills.
- Big Data Experience: Demonstrated experience working with large datasets, extracting meaningful insights, and telling compelling stories through data.
- Programming Proficiency: Ability to handle massive datasets and write code and queries in SQL, Python, or R for comprehensive data analysis.
- Database Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of database technologies and distributed datastores, including SQL, NoSQL, Big Data, and Cloud technologies such as Google BigQuery.
- Visualization Skills: Proficiency in visualization tools and best practices, including Looker, PowerBI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in a relevant field (Master's or Ph.D.)
- Experience in retail or e-commerce analytics
- Knowledge of machine learning fundamentals
- Familiarity with cloud platforms beyond GCP (AWS, Azure)
- Experience with ETL processes and data pipeline development
- Background in A/B testing and experimental design
