As a Senior Engineer at arenaflex, you'll have the chance to work on a wide range of exciting projects, from designing and developing new web and cloud applications to collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth. You'll be responsible for providing technical expertise to ensure the maintenance and operation of aircraft and related equipment, as well as establishing and maintaining aircraft and part standards within areas of responsibility.
**What You'll Do**
* Conduct training for Specialists in areas of expertise
* Serve as a mentor to other Engineers
* Lead project management or issue resolution as a group leader/facilitator
* Collaborate with manufacturers and regulatory specialists, as needed, to ensure that design methods are properly validated according to material standards and Company manuals
* Create customized methods and special procedures for repairs, modifications, inspections, adjustments, and other maintenance activities that are not adequately addressed in existing manuals
* Stay informed about daily airline activities, including areas of responsibility
* Review daily needs according to airline/departmental targets and management mandates
* Investigate aircraft/part issues that may cause flight delays or cancellations, significant uses in labor or materials, or breaks in maintenance activities, and determine appropriate corrective actions
* Provide technical support as needed to restore workable status
* Respond to requests from Maintenance and other airline divisions when technical support is required to assist tasks or resolve issues
* Develop activity plans for fleet/multi-fleet and part design projects and pursue definitive actions according to evaluated needs
* Collaborate with other airline divisions, as needed, to facilitate effective and efficient execution of design methods
* Create design documents to implement technical methods by providing customized procedures for repairs, modifications, inspections, or other maintenance activities that provide benefits according to airline/departmental targets and management mandates
* Maintain knowledge of current and future regulations that affect areas of responsibility and ensure that all design activities maintain consistency with applicable regulatory requirements
* Utilize available resources to build levels of technical expertise and practical experience continuously. Also, strive to improve communication skills, using time effectively, and other individual characteristics relevant to maximum effectiveness and efficiency in performing assigned duties
* Effectively interact with frontline colleagues and management alike
**All You'll Need for Success**
* Minimum Capabilities Training and Prior Professional Experience
* Four-year degree in Designing field or related Designing license
* One year of designing experience in a related field or two years of experience without a degree
* A&P license
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
* Ability to analyze technical information and make data-driven decisions
* Demonstrated fitness, capacity, and willingness to take on new jobs and responsibilities
* Ability to prepare/convey presentations that promote recognition of solutions
* Ability to interact with internal and external clients effectively
