Position Overview
We're currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Workforce Operations Analyst to serve as a key subject matter expert in labor force activities. In this critical role, you will leverage your deep understanding of workforce models and your strong cross-functional relationships to address and resolve concerns emanating from our store operations and HR partners in the field. Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Workforce Operations Analyst at arenaflex, you will be entrusted with significant responsibilities that directly impact our operational efficiency and workforce effectiveness. Your daily activities will include:
- Lead Task Groups and Cross-Functional Teams: Orchestrate and direct project teams comprising experts and various stakeholders to address complex workforce challenges. You will coordinate efforts across multiple departments, ensure alignment on objectives, and drive teams toward successful outcomes.
- Data Collection, Analysis, and Solution Development: Perform comprehensive data gathering tasks, conduct meaningful analysis, develop innovative solutions, and create detailed project plans. You will be responsible for utilizing data effectively to inform strategic decisions and operational improvements.
- Reporting and Documentation: Generate comprehensive reports and documentation for teams and leadership to review and utilize in their decision-making processes. This includes creating detailed performance reports, trend analyses, and strategic recommendations.
- Presentation and Communication: Deliver compelling presentations to teams, executive leaders, and stakeholders. You must be able to communicate complex findings in clear, understandable terms and influence key stakeholders to adopt recommended improvements.
- Skills Development and Knowledge Sharing: Build capabilities and knowledge within the team, including personal development, team knowledge enhancement, and internal customer education. Mentor junior team members and contribute to a culture of continuous learning.
- Strategic Workforce Planning: Develop and implement workforce strategies that optimize labor allocation, improve scheduling efficiency, and enhance overall operational performance across retail locations.
- Process Improvement Leadership: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and provide key recommendations to leadership on a regular basis. Drive initiatives that improve workflow efficiency and communication effectiveness.
- Field Support and Issue Resolution: Address workforce-related concerns originating from the field, ranging from inquiries from Office Managers to Division Presidents. Provide timely, accurate responses and effective solutions.
- Team Leadership: Exercise leadership of work groups by assigning tasks, reviewing work, training team members, and contributing to performance evaluations. Note: This role does not involve hiring, termination, or disciplinary actions on a permanent basis.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Operations Management, Statistics, or a related field. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will also be considered.
- Work Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in workforce operations, HR analytics, retail operations, or a related field. Demonstrated success in data-driven decision making is essential.
- Analytical Skills: Strong quantitative abilities including proficiency in statistics and data analysis. Must be comfortable working with large datasets and translating analytical findings into actionable business recommendations.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively to various audiences, including senior leadership.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes, develop innovative solutions, and implement effective improvements.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and experience with workforce management systems, HRIS platforms, and data visualization tools.
Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience in a senior analyst role within retail, wholesale, or distribution operations
- Store management experience and/or ASDS (Associate Store Director of Operations) background
- Consulting management and/or formal project management certification (PMP, Six Sigma, etc.)
- Experience with workforce scheduling optimization and labor budget management
- Knowledge of retail operations, field operations, and store-level workforce challenges
- Experience presenting to executive leadership and influencing strategic decisions
- Familiarity with labor compliance regulations and best practices
