What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities

As a Ticket/Gate Agent at arenaflex, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our customers have a seamless travel experience. Your responsibilities will include:


  • Customer Check-In Process: Greet customers warmly as they arrive at the airport, assist them with the check-in process on computer systems, and ensure all documentation is in order for their journey.

  • Baggage Handling: Tag and lift baggage from scales to conveyor belts. You'll handle luggage weighing up to 70 pounds, ensuring proper handling and tracking throughout the process.

  • Boarding Process Management: Own the boarding process, manage seat availability, and make gate announcements to keep passengers informed and ensure smooth departures.

  • Gate Operations: Operate loading bridges and assist with opening, closing, and securing aircraft doors in compliance with safety regulations.

  • Special Passenger Assistance: Escort unaccompanied minors and disabled passengers throughout the airport, providing compassionate and attentive care to those who need extra support.

  • Travel Planning Assistance: Help customers with routing, travel planning, and answering questions about their itineraries to ensure they have the information they need for a smooth journey.

  • Documentation Verification: Ensure customers have proper travel documentation and comply with all regulatory requirements.

  • Safety Compliance: Consistently prioritize safety and security of self, others, and personal data throughout all operations.

Your schedule will be based on operational needs and may include shifts ranging from early morning to overnight. Depending on your station's flight schedule and your seniority, you can expect to work between 20 and 40 hours per week, providing flexibility to balance work and personal commitments.

What We're Looking For: Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need to meet the following requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency is required.
  • Age: Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Authorization: Must have authorization to work within the United States.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English with strong verbal and written communication skills, using appropriate grammar, tone, and pronunciation.
  • Digital Literacy: Possess basic computer skills and comfort with using digital systems and technology.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to pass a physical ability test (PAT), which includes lifting baggage up to 70 pounds, standing for extended periods, and performing physical tasks throughout your shift.
  • Assessment: Must pass a Customer Service Assessment to demonstrate your ability to handle customer interactions professionally.
