What You'll Do

As a key member of our Data Research team, you will play a pivotal role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that enhance the guest experience across all our entertainment offerings. Your responsibilities will include:

• Building Strategic Partnerships: Foster strong relationships with colleagues across departments, providing thought leadership and driving initiatives to successful completion through effective collaboration and execution.


• Driving Innovation Through Research: Engage with research teams and fellow data scientists to advance machine learning strategies and identify creative solutions to complex business challenges.


• Leading ML Initiatives: Collaborate with diverse teams of specialists and researchers to implement and scale machine learning solutions that create unforgettable experiences for our guests while pushing operational boundaries.


• Pioneering Technology Development: Lead research and development efforts, proofs of concept, and innovation initiatives that result in cutting-edge AI platforms and exceptional guest interactions.


• Ensuring Operational Excellence: Manage the functional support and maintenance of machine learning products and services delivered by your team, ensuring consistent performance and reliability.


• Establishing Best Practices: Create standardized methodologies for daily operations and work with specialized units to design, plan, and execute large-scale projects in the AI and machine learning space.


• Productionizing ML Solutions: Deploy machine learning algorithms for predictive analytics, classification, image recognition, natural language processing, anomaly detection, and more—evaluating their performance on real-world datasets.


• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with various teams to achieve goals related to improving system performance and overall operational efficiency.


• Maintaining Code Quality: Align with existing software development practices that produce maintainable code, including automated testing, continuous integration, code style consistency, and thorough code reviews.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications & Skills

We're seeking candidates who bring a combination of technical expertise and collaborative spirit. While we value experience, we also believe in nurturing talent and providing opportunities for growth. The ideal candidate will have:

• Technical Proficiency: 2+ years of demonstrated mastery in Python programming with experience in predictive modeling using frameworks such as TensorFlow, SparkMLib, PySpark, LightGBM, or MXNet.


• Cloud Platform Expertise: 2+ years of hands-on experience with major cloud platforms, particularly AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).


• Software Development Skills: Proficiency in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), QA processes, and Object-Oriented Programming Design Patterns.


• Data Management Experience: Advanced experience working with both structured and unstructured data—including images, video, text, and audio—and proficiency in SQL relational and NoSQL databases.


• Data Workflow Management: 2+ years of experience with Apache Airflow or similar data workflow management tools.


• Version Control & DevOps: Experience with version control systems like GitHub or GitLab, Model Operations, and CI/CD pipelines.


• Business Acumen: Experience leading discovery processes with partners to identify business requirements and define expected outcomes, combined with strong communication skills and a results-oriented mindset.


• Systems Integration: Strong systems integration architecture skills with the ability to translate new technologies into practical business solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with the following additional skills and experiences will be strongly preferred:

• Hands-on experience with Docker containerization technology


• Experience with configuration management systems


• Proficiency with Kubernetes for container orchestration


• Knowledge of cloud solutions beyond the major platforms


• Familiarity with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence


• Experience with Agile development methodologies


• Background in automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous deployment practices


• Proficiency with data visualization and monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Plotly, Tableau)


• Experience with audio analysis and processing


• Background in text analysis and natural language processing

Education Requirements

Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Programming, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

Preferred: Advanced degree (Ph.D.) in Data Science, Statistics, Programming, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar technical discipline.
