Position Overview

As a Pharmacist - Centralized Services at arenaflex, you will be responsible for executing medical services procedures and driving patient wellbeing results. This role involves executing patient intervention pharmacy programs, ensuring compliance with clinical pharmacy services, and driving pharmacy financial performance through strategic initiatives. You will be accountable for prescription processing from a remote setting, fostering strong relationships with clinical communities in your assigned region, and serving as an expert resource and contact for the organization.

Key Responsibilities

As a key member of our Centralized Services team, you will be responsible for:


  • Direct Patient Care Programs: Implementing direct patient care programs, including but not limited to Drug Treatment Management programs, Vaccination Services, and Payer and Pharma Adherence and Clinical Projects. You will drive the execution of various marketing strategies and projects to ensure business needs are being met.
  • Compliance and Quality Improvement: Driving compliance and continuous quality improvement in the delivery of clinical pharmacy patient care and services by studying, evaluating, and redesigning processes; monitoring and analyzing results; and implementing changes. You will ensure that region Pharmacies comply with regulatory compliance, standard operating procedures, and FDA guidelines.
  • Financial Performance: Driving regional pharmacy financial performance by aligning business strategies with company financial goals. You will implement and execute patient intervention pharmacy programs to maximize financial performance while improving patient health outcomes.
  • Patient Experience Enhancement: Supporting efforts to enhance patient experience by increasing focus on healthcare services, including patient consultations, medication management, drug therapy reviews, and retail, clinical, or wellness services such as vaccinations, disease state management, and Specialty programs.
  • Team Support and Development: Providing expertise, resources, training, and support to pharmacists and field management. You will support staff training experiences and development opportunities while promoting teamwork and motivating Pharmacy staff by fostering a shared vision and supporting company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Clinical Reviews: Conducting data and clinical reviews and taking necessary action to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medications. You will review drug accounts and patient profiles to ensure proper and safe medication treatment while providing individualized patient/provider consultation.
  • Patient Communication: Using superior interpersonal skills to win the trust of patients by listening to their concerns and providing a sounding board for pharmacy issues. You will provide feedback regarding the effectiveness of client retention programs, including comments from patients as the value of individual consultations.
  • Clinical Consultation: Being responsible for all inquiries, transactions, and issues that relate directly to patient treatment. You will provide clinical consultation and information to patients, physicians, and insurance plans as needed.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations. Adhering to guidelines and procedures for all job responsibilities to meet objectives and complying with company policies and procedures, including all HIPAA regulations/guidelines.
  • Additional Duties: Performing other work consistent with the job duties in this record as assigned by management.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:


  • Pharmacy License: Current Pharmacist license as granted by the appropriate state licensing authority. You must maintain current knowledge of the Pharmacy industry and maintain required licensure.
  • Leadership Experience: Experience advancing colleagues to research and resolve issues. You should have a track record of supporting and developing team members.
  • Confidentiality: Experience working with confidential information and maintaining patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Flexibility: Able to work non-standard hours, which may include nights, holidays, and/or weekends, as required by business needs.
  • Time Management: Experience using time management skills, such as prioritizing/coordinating and following details and meeting deadlines of multiple tasks with varying completion dates.
  • Independent Work: Experience developing approaches to achieving goals with minimal supervision, depending on oneself to complete objectives, and determining when escalation of issues is necessary.
  • Customer Service: Experience providing customer service to internal and external clients, including meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Travel: Able to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will give you an advantage in this role:


  • Multi-State Licensure: Ability to obtain other state pharmacy licenses if required. We operate in multiple states, and having the flexibility to obtain additional licenses is highly valued.
  • Insurance Knowledge: Knowledge of insurance plans and how they interact with pharmacy services.
  • Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of computer operating systems including RAD, COMMIT, and AS/400.
  • Microsoft Excel: Basic level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (for example: opening a workbook, inserting a row, selecting font and size, formatting cells as currency, using copy, paste and save functions, adjusting text, selecting cells, renaming a worksheet, inserting a column, selecting a chart style, inserting a worksheet, setting margins, selecting page orientation, using spell check and/or printing worksheets).
  • Microsoft PowerPoint: Basic level proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: inserting, resizing, hiding and deleting slides, navigating between slides, expanding bullet points, adding, centering and editing text, changing views, inserting a table or a note, moving objects, printing handout view and/or running a slideshow).
  • Microsoft Word: Basic level proficiency in Microsoft Word (for example: opening a document, cutting, pasting and adjusting text, selecting font type and size, changing margins and column width, numbering, inserting bullets, pictures and dates, using find and replace, spell check, track changes, review pane and/or print functions).

Education Requirements


  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or related field from an accredited institution.

  • Current and valid Pharmacist license in the state of Illinois (or ability to obtain).

  • Continuing education requirements must be met to maintain licensure.
