About the Role
We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Customer Engineer to join our dynamic team in Florida. Key Responsibilities
As a Customer Engineer at arenaflex, you will be entrusted with a variety of responsibilities that span technical sales, solution architecture, and customer advocacy:
- Support Local Sales Teams: Partner with our sales representatives in pursuing key business opportunities within the Florida region. Engage directly with customers to address all aspects of their data lifecycle and cloud transformation needs.
- Requirements Discovery & Solution Architecture: Identify and analyze business and technical requirements through comprehensive technical discovery sessions. Architect customer solutions that precisely meet gathered requirements and align with organizational objectives.
- Technical Project Leadership: Take ownership of technical projects including technology advocacy, bid response support, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept development, and coordination of supporting technical resources.
- Product Integration & Demonstration: Work directly with arenaflex Cloud Platform products to illustrate and prototype integrations in customer and partner environments. Showcase the capabilities and value of our solutions through compelling demonstrations.
- Customer Engagement: Travel to attend meetings, provide technical opinions, and deliver onsite implementation support as needed. Build strong relationships with customers through consistent, high-quality technical engagement.
- Solution Messaging: Prepare and deliver product messaging that highlights the arenaflex Cloud Platform value proposition. Utilize various techniques including whiteboard presentations, slide shows, product demonstrations, white papers, and RFI response documents.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside a team of specialist Customer Engineers, responding to requests from field sales representatives and Customer Engineers to support customer-facing engagements requiring specific product expertise.
- Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape. Liaise with product marketing management and engineering teams to contribute insights that drive product improvements and innovation.
Minimum Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, OR equivalent practical experience demonstrating technical proficiency.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Technical Representative, Technical Pre-Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or in a customer-facing technical position.
- Demonstrated experience with traditional data warehouse solutions, big data technologies, real-time streaming, performance optimization, or scalability enhancements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value for customers.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present technical information to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with the following qualifications will be strongly preferred:
- Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience designing and developing data warehousing solutions, data lakes, batch or real-time event processing systems, and complex ETL workflow solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of data and information management as it pertains to big data characteristics and challenges within enterprise organizations.
- Familiarity with AI/ML and ML Operations (MLOps) issues as part of data analytics platforms and lifecycles.
- Ability to quickly research, understand, and implement new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions within the cloud and IT landscape.
- Experience with cloud platform technologies and understanding of cloud architecture principles.
- Knowledge of industry best practices for data governance, security, and compliance in cloud environments.
