About This Opportunity

As a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice at arenaflex, you'll be the face of our pharmacy operations—interacting directly with patients, building lasting relationships, and playing a crucial role in their healthcare journey. What You'll Do

As a valued member of our pharmacy team, you'll be responsible for supporting our pharmacists and ensuring seamless operations. Your daily responsibilities will include:


  • Patient Interaction: Greet and assist customers with warmth and professionalism, providing exceptional service that creates memorable experiences. Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure every interaction leaves a positive impression.

  • Prescription Processing: Utilize our advanced pharmacy management systems to accurately enter patient information, process prescriptions, and verify medication details. Ensure all data is entered correctly to maintain the highest standards of accuracy.

  • Medication Preparation: Under pharmacist supervision, retrieve, count, pour, and verify pharmaceutical medications. Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and identify potential drug interactions or contraindications.

  • Inventory Management: Support pharmacy department operations by assisting with ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing prescription drug shipments. Maintain awareness of company asset protection protocols and report any discrepancies.

  • Register Operations: Handle cash register operations, process payments, and manage related sales transactions. Guide customers to over-the-counter products when appropriate to enhance their shopping experience.

  • Claims Processing: Process and resubmit third-party prescription claims in a timely and efficient manner. Perform various clerical duties as assigned by the pharmacy manager.

  • Customer Relationship Building: Develop strong relationships with our most valuable customers, understanding their needs and providing personalized recommendations for health and wellness products.

  • Quality Compliance: Adhere to all company policies and procedures, state and federal regulations, and maintain strict compliance with pharmacy error prevention protocols. Report any prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.

  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training, complete required learning modules, and maintain continuing education credits. Support fellow team members and contribute to a collaborative work environment.

  • Additional Clinical Services: When certified, assist pharmacists in administering clinical services such as collecting and properly labeling blood/urine samples from patients, supporting health screenings, and coordinating with external healthcare providers.

Essential Qualifications


  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (essential for all U.S. positions except Puerto Rico)

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications


  • Six months or more of experience in a retail environment

  • Prior work experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting

  • Strong mathematical skills for accurate prescription filling, counting, measuring, and weighing medications

  • Proficient computer skills and familiarity with pharmacy management systems

  • Knowledge of store inventory control procedures

  • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification or willingness to obtain certification

  • Previous experience with customer service in a fast-paced environment

  • Familiarity with medical terminology and pharmacy calculations
