Position Overview: Part-Time Remote Customer Service Associate
We have an immediate need to hire multiple team members to become our newest Contact Center Associates. In this role, you'll be handling both phone and email support, as well as live chat inquiries, for our various clients across multiple industries. This is a non-telemarketing, inbound-only position – no outbound sales calls, ever!
Our part-time schedule is designed with your lifestyle in mind: you'll work 20-25 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM EST. That's right – no evenings, no weekends, no holidays. You'll have your evenings and weekends free to enjoy life while still earning a competitive wage.
Key Responsibilities
As a Customer Service Associate at arenaflex, you'll play a crucial role in representing our clients' brands and ensuring their customers receive exceptional support. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Multi-Channel Support: Professionally handle incoming phone calls, emails, and live chat inquiries from customers seeking assistance with products, services, or general questions.
- Issue Resolution: Address and resolve Tier 1 and Tier 2 customer concerns, questions, and issues with efficiency and accuracy. You'll be empowered to make decisions that benefit the customer while maintaining company standards.
- Technical Assistance: Provide medium to light technical support, including password resets, account verification, and guiding customers through locating purchased items on client websites.
- Product and Service Recommendations: Identify customer needs and appropriately recommend additional products or services that may enhance their experience – all while putting the customer's interests first.
- Process Improvement: Contribute valuable insights and recommendations based on your firsthand knowledge of system issues, customer pain points, and opportunities for enhanced service delivery.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate records of all customer interactions in our CRM systems to ensure continuity of care and proper escalation when necessary.

Essential Qualifications

- Technical Proficiency: Strong technical skills are a must. You'll need to assist customers with varying degrees of computer and smartphone issues, as well as troubleshoot and self-correct your own computer and connectivity issues. Comfort with technology is essential.
- Communication Excellence: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation (for example, knowing the difference between "there," "their," and "they're").
- Phone Presence: A professional, clear phone voice with proper diction and the ability to convey warmth and positivity – you should be able to "hear the smile" in your voice.
- Active Listening: The ability to listen actively and attentively to sensitive information, demonstrating empathy and understanding throughout each interaction.
- Multi-Tasking Abilities: Comfortable operating in a high-volume, metrics-driven environment. You'll handle between 75-150 calls per day, with an average call duration of approximately 3 minutes.
- Adaptability: The capacity to meet strong production deadlines in a fast-paced environment while juggling multiple priorities and doing "whatever it takes" to get the job done right.
- Learning Agility: Must be a quick learner with a dedication to excellence and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications will help you stand out from other candidates:
- Bilingual (Spanish): Fluency in Spanish is a significant plus, as it will expand your ability to serve a broader customer base.
- CRM Experience: Familiarity with platforms such as InContact, Zendesk, or Slack is beneficial, though comprehensive training will be provided.
- Industry Background: Previous experience in financial services, e-commerce, healthcare support, or nonprofit customer service is a bonus.
System and Workspace Requirements
To ensure you can perform at your best while working remotely, arenaflex requires the following:
- Dedicated Workspace: A private, remote working space with no background noise. This is critical for maintaining confidentiality and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Internet Connectivity: A reliable internet connection with a minimum download speed of 10 Mbps. You must also have a compatible mobile hotspot available as a backup in case of internet outages.
- Technical Setup: The ability to run the Chrome browser with a VPN connection.
- Equipment: You must provide your own dual monitors and a quality noise-cancelling headset.
