- *Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our team in Dallas, TX. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets, developing data models, and creating data visualizations to inform business decisions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business needs, design data solutions, and implement data-driven initiatives. This is a full-time remote position, and you will have the flexibility to work from home while being part of a dynamic and collaborative team.
- *Key Responsibilities**
- Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions
- Develop and maintain data models, including data definitions, data relationships, and data visualizations
- Create data visualizations, reports, and dashboards to communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs, design data solutions, and implement data-driven initiatives
- Develop and maintain SQL projects to extract, transform, and load data from various sources, including Level Records, Teradata, Prophet, Sky blue Datalake, and Vertica
- Work with complex client data, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and integrity
- Supervise quality control and evaluation of data sets, resolving data issues, and investigating system changes for quality assurance
- Develop and maintain information structures for analysis, reporting, and visualization
- Foster applications using Palantir Foundry, PySpark, Python, and related technologies
- Create and track business metrics, creating and maintaining standard, custom, and ad-hoc reports
- Upgrade and maintain current data pipelines and related systems
- Collect and maintain large, complex data sets that meet business requirements
- Engage with various partner groups to investigate different data set frameworks
- Assemble and maintain tools that monitor data and system health
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements to enhance application performance and enable cost savings
- Tune and enhance data pipeline performance on Flash
- Create and maintain documentation describing data sets and data objects
- *Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or Software Engineering
- 5 years of moderate, post-baccalaureate experience in the role offered or 5 years of moderate, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation making SQL projects to extract, transform, and load data from various sources, working with complex client data, regulating quality control and evaluating of data sets, settling data issues, and breaking down system changes for quality confirmation; and making information structures for analysis, reporting, and visualization
- Experience with data modeling, data visualization, and data warehousing
- Strong understanding of data analysis, data mining, and data science concepts
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and related technologies
- Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex data insights to stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork
