Finance Representative I

Heartland Mutual Insurance is a community-driven company focused on delivering exceptional service. The Finance Representative I will handle customer inquiries, process payments, and assist with finance tasks to ensure efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Dealing directly with both internal and external customers to ensure premiums are received in an efficient and timely manner
• Applying payments received via online banking, credit card and cheques
• Attending to broker and insured inquiries via email and telephone
• Processing policy changes regarding billing methods
• Assist with other Finance tasks as required

Skills

• High school diploma is required
• Fluency in English with excellent written, oral and telephone communication skills
• Well organized and has an affinity to numbers
• Successful experience in a customer service environment
• Must have a positive attitude
• Ability to manage multiple complex tasks
• Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills are essential
• Maintain professional standards in stressful situations in a fast paced environment with shifting priorities
• A college diploma in Business and/or Accounting
