Role Overview
In this pivotal role, you will become an essential part of arenaflex's Medicare Appeals and Patient-Provider Dispute Resolution team. Your work will be instrumental in supporting the "No Surprises Act," a landmark legislation designed to protect patients from surprise medical bills and enhance billing transparency across the healthcare industry.
As a Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you will be responsible for accurately inputting, verifying, and managing critical healthcare data within our internal systems and the federal IDR (Independent Dispute Resolution) Portal. Your meticulous attention to detail will help ensure that patient cases are processed efficiently and that healthcare providers receive fair resolution in dispute cases.
This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while still being an integral part of a collaborative team. We provide all the necessary tools and training to set you up for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
As a Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you will be responsible for the following core duties:
- Data Management & Entry: Accurately input and transfer data from internal arenaflex systems into the federal IDR Portal. Maintain a keen eye for inconsistencies, discrepancies, or anomalies in the data and report any issues promptly to your supervisor.
- Documentation & File Management: Upload all pertinent case file documents with precision, including medical records, billing statements, correspondence, and supporting documentation. Ensure proper categorization and indexing of all files for easy retrieval and audit purposes.
- Quality Control & Assurance: Regularly review and correct data as needed based on comprehensive quality reports. Perform routine audits to identify and rectify errors, ensuring our data maintains the highest level of integrity and accuracy.
- Medicare Appeals Processing: Handle data entry related to Medicare Appeals cases, ensuring all required information is captured accurately and submitted within regulatory timeframes.
- Patient-Provider Dispute Resolution: Assist in processing dispute resolution cases by entering and verifying case details, maintaining clear communication trails, and ensuring all parties receive proper notifications.
- Clerical Support: Assist with various clerical tasks including printing, mailing, and faxing official notices and documents. Perform imaging and indexing activities as required to support case management operations.
- Compliance Monitoring: Adhere to all federal and state regulations regarding data handling, privacy, and healthcare information management. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient information at all times.

Educational Background
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required

Residency Requirement
- Must have lived in the United States for at least 3 of the past 5 years
- This position is part of a Federal Contract and requires proper verification of residency status
- Must be able to pass background checks required for federal contract work
