[Remote] Junior Instructional and Content Developer

They are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Instructional Designer to transform complex federal housing topics into engaging learning experiences for diverse audiences.


Responsibilities

  • Partner with internal and external subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop entry-level courses on federal housing topics
  • Research industry trends and identify gaps to keep content relevant and impactful
  • Write clear, compelling training content that captures and retains learner attention
  • Design engaging learning materials, including: E-learning courses and webinars, Instructor-led training (ILT) materials, Course outlines, facilitator guides, and participant guides, Storyboards, graphics, and presentations
  • Create and edit instructional videos (scriptwriting, recording, and editing)
  • Update and enhance existing curricula, manuals, and training tools
  • Ensure all content complies with copyright, data protection, and accessibility standards (Section 508 knowledge is a plus)
  • Support LMS administration (user management, uploads, assessments, etc.)
  • Collaborate with teammates to meet project timelines and deliverables
  • Contribute to documentation, design, and marketing-related tasks as needed

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design or a related field OR a relevant certification (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Certified Professional)
  • Strong writing and communication skills, including technical writing
  • Ability to organize complex information into clear, effective learning experiences
  • Understanding of instructional design principles, curriculum development, and training evaluation methods
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong prioritization and adaptability skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in both remote and in-office environments
  • Reliable high-speed internet for remote work
  • Experience developing e-learning courses (Articulate Storyline is a plus)
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Video creation/editing experience (Camtasia or Adobe Premiere)
  • Experience creating storyboards, scripts, and visual learning assets
