As a Remote Pharmacist on our centralized services team, you will play a pivotal role in executing medical service methodologies and driving patient wellbeing results across our national pharmacy network. What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities
As a valued member of the arenaflex centralized pharmacy services team, you will be responsible for executing patient intervention pharmacy programs and ensuring compliance with clinical pharmacy services. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving pharmacy financial performance by implementing pharmacy projects that maximize reimbursements while simultaneously improving patient health outcomes.
Patient Care Programs
- Execute direct patient care programs, including but not limited to Drug Therapy Management programs, Vaccination Services, and Payer and Pharma Adherence and Clinical Programs
- Implement and drive various strategies and operations to ensure business needs are being met while maintaining the highest standards of patient care
- Conduct comprehensive medication reviews and clinical interventions to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medication therapies
- Review drug histories and patient profiles to ensure proper and safe medication treatment
- Provide individualized patient and provider consultations tailored to each patient's unique healthcare needs
Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Drive compliance and continuous quality improvement in the delivery of clinical pharmacy patient care and services by studying, evaluating, and redesigning processes
- Monitor and analyze results, implementing necessary changes to improve patient safety and operational efficiency
- Ensure regional pharmacies comply with regulatory compliance, standard operating procedures, and FDA guidelines
- Maintain current knowledge of pharmacy industry developments and changes in regulations
- Comply with company policies and procedures including all HIPAA regulations and guidelines
Financial Performance
- Drive regional pharmacy financial performance by aligning business strategies with company financial goals
- Implement and execute patient intervention pharmacy programs to maximize financial performance
- Support efforts on improving patient experience by increasing focus on healthcare services including patient consultation, medication management, drug therapy reviews, and retail, clinical, or wellness services
Professional Development and Leadership
- Provide expertise, resources, education, and support to pharmacists and field leadership
- Support staff training experiences and development opportunities
- Promote collaboration and inspire pharmacy staff by fostering a shared vision and supporting company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity
- Foster strong relationships with clinical communities in assigned areas and act as a representative and contact of the organization
- Serve as a knowledgeable expert and resource to other pharmacists and field leaders
Patient Communication and Relations
- Through utilization of exceptional interpersonal skills, earn the trust of patients by listening to their concerns and providing a sounding board for pharmacy inquiries
- Provide feedback regarding the effectiveness of client retention programs including comments from patients as the value of individual consultations
- Answerable for all inquiries, discussions, and advice which relate directly to patient treatment
- Provide clinical advice and information to patients, physicians, and insurance plans as needed
What We're Looking For: Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must possess the following required qualifications:
- Current Pharmacist License: Must hold a valid pharmacist license as granted by the appropriate state licensing authority
- Leadership Experience: Experience inspiring colleagues to research and resolve issues effectively
- Confidentiality Skills: Experience working with sensitive and confidential information in compliance with healthcare privacy regulations
- Flexibility: Ability and willingness to work non-standard hours, which may include nights, holidays, and/or weekends as required by business needs
- Time Management: Experience utilizing time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details while meeting deadlines for various projects with varying completion dates
- Autonomous Work Style: Experience developing approaches to achieving goals with minimal supervision, depending on oneself to complete objectives and knowing when to escalate issues appropriately
- Customer Service Excellence: Experience providing customer service to internal and external clients, including meeting quality standards for services and evaluating customer satisfaction
- Travel Availability: Ability to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state)
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
While the following qualifications are not required, they would be highly valued in a candidate:
- Willingness to acquire additional state pharmacy licenses if necessary to support business operations
- Knowledge of insurance plans and reimbursement structures
- Knowledge of computer operating systems including radio, commitment, and plus systems
- Microsoft Excel: Basic proficiency (for example: opening a workbook, inserting a line, selecting font and size, formatting cells as currency, using copy, paste and save functions, adjusting text, selecting cells, renaming a worksheet, inserting a column, selecting a chart style, inserting a worksheet, setting margins, selecting page orientation, using spell check and/or printing worksheets)
- Microsoft PowerPoint: Basic proficiency (for example: embedding, editing, hiding and deleting slides, navigating between slides, expanding list levels, adding, centering and editing text, changing views, inserting a table or a note, moving objects, printing frame view and/or running a slide show)
- Microsoft Word: Basic proficiency (for example: opening a document, cutting, pasting and adjusting text, selecting font type and size, changing margins and paragraph width, formatting, inserting shots, pictures and dates, using find and replace, fix, spell check, track changes, review sheet and/or print capabilities)
