About the Role

As an Automotive Technician at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in keeping our fleet operating at peak performance. Our vehicles are the backbone of our operations, and your expertise ensures that we can continue delivering excellence to customers around the world. You'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide variety of equipment, from traditional gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles to alternative propulsion systems including compressed natural gas, liquefied natural gas, propane, hybrid, and electric vehicles in select locations.

Key Responsibilities

As an integral member of our fleet maintenance team, you will be responsible for:

  • Vehicle Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a diverse fleet of delivery vehicles, heavy-duty tractors, and trailers from multiple manufacturers. This includes troubleshooting and maintaining various systems such as hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electrical systems, and engine control systems.
  • Alternative Propulsion Systems: Work with alternative fuel systems including compressed natural gas (CNG), liquefied natural gas (LNG), propane, hybrid, and electric vehicle systems where applicable.
  • Compliance with Regulations: Meet all Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) requirements as needed for the job role.
  • Physical Requirements: Perform physical tasks including bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing ladders and stairs, standing, walking, and turning/pivoting frequently throughout the workday. Additionally, sit occasionally as required during the workday.
  • Manual Handling: Execute tasks requiring fine hand grasping, power hand grasping, fine hand manipulation, and reaching from foot level to above shoulder level as necessary to complete assigned tasks.
  • Vehicle Operation: Operate both standard and manual transmission vehicles as needed for the position.
  • Tool Operation: Utilize power tools and pneumatic tools effectively and safely.
  • Industrial Truck Certification: Meet all requirements to become Power Industrial Truck Operations (PITO) certified.
  • Safety Compliance: Wear personal protective equipment as required and maintain a safe working environment at all times.
  • Environmental Adaptability: Work in environments with variable temperatures and humidity, exposure to cleaning chemicals, petroleum products, dust, dirt, and noise, as well as outdoor inclement weather conditions.
  • Team Collaboration: Work cooperatively in a diverse work environment, contributing to a positive and inclusive team atmosphere.
  • Effective Communication: Communicate effectively through sight, hearing, and other means to perform assigned duties and maintain proper job safety situations.

Shift Flexibility and Scheduling

Our Automotive Technicians must be willing to work various shift schedules based on location needs, including:



  • Second shift (afternoon/evening hours)

  • Third shift (night hours)

  • Monday through Friday schedules

  • Sunday through Thursday schedules

  • Tuesday through Saturday schedules

Full-time shifts typically range from 8-10 hours per day, 4-5 days per week. Candidates must be available to work varying shifts, additional hours, and/or overtime depending on service needs. We understand that life happens, and we value reliability and punctuality. Our team members are expected to report to work on a daily and timely basis and complete scheduled workdays on a consistent basis.

Qualifications and Requirements

Essential Qualifications


  • Work Authorization: Must be a U.S. Citizen or national of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this company.

  • Automotive Experience: Current, documented automotive mechanical experience is required. You must have a proven track record of working with vehicle systems and performing maintenance and repairs.

  • Technical Skills: Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and personal computers for vehicle troubleshooting and repair.

  • Tool Proficiency: Must possess a complete supplement of personal hand tools required to perform job tasks effectively.

  • Reliability: Demonstrated reliability with the ability to report to work on a regular and timely basis and complete scheduled workdays consistently.

  • Availability: Must be available to work varying shifts, additional hours, and/or overtime depending on service needs.

  • Physical Capability: Must be able to meet the physical demands of the role, including the ability to perform all required physical activities throughout the workday.

  • Safety Mindset: Must be committed to wearing personal protective equipment as required and maintaining a safe work environment.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Commercial Driver's License: Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred but not required. Having your CDL can enhance your career prospects and may lead to additional opportunities within arenaflex.

  • Advanced Certifications: Additional certifications in diesel mechanics, alternative fuel systems, or electric vehicle maintenance are highly valued.

  • Previous Fleet Experience: Experience working with commercial fleet vehicles, delivery trucks, or heavy-duty equipment is a plus.
