Position Overview
As a Pharmacist – Centralized Services at arenaflex, you will be responsible for executing patient intervention pharmacy programs and ensuring compliance with clinical pharmacy services. You will process prescriptions from a remote setting, foster strong relationships with clinical communities, and serve as a knowledgeable resource to other pharmacists and field leaders. Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care Programs: Execute direct patient care programs, including but not limited to Drug Treatment Management programs, Vaccination Services, and Payer and Pharma Adherence and Clinical Projects. Your clinical expertise will directly impact patient health outcomes.
- Clinical Pharmacy Services: Drive compliance and continuous quality improvement in the delivery of clinical pharmacy patient care and services by studying, evaluating, and redesigning processes; monitoring and analyzing results; and implementing necessary changes to enhance patient safety and operational efficiency.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all pharmacy operations comply with regulatory requirements, standard operating procedures, and FDA guidelines. Maintain current knowledge of pharmacy industry regulations and maintain required licensure.
- Financial Performance: Drive pharmacy financial performance by aligning business strategies with company financial goals. Implement and execute patient intervention pharmacy programs to maximize financial performance while improving patient health outcomes.
- Patient Experience: Support efforts to improve patient experience by increasing focus on healthcare services, including patient consultation, medication management, drug therapy reviews, and retail, clinical, or wellness services such as vaccinations, illness state management, and Specialty programs.
- Prescription Processing: Process prescriptions accurately and efficiently from a remote setting, ensuring all medications are dispensed in accordance with legal and clinical standards.
- Clinical Reviews: Conduct data and clinical reviews and take appropriate action to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medications. Review drug histories and patient profiles to ensure appropriate and safe medication therapy.
- Patient Consultation: Provide individualized patient and provider consultation, utilizing superior communication skills to win the trust of patients by listening to their concerns and providing thoughtful guidance on medication therapy.
- Healthcare Provider Support: Serve as a clinical advisor and resource to patients, physicians, and insurance plans as needed. Provide expertise, resources, education, and support to pharmacists and field leadership.
- Collaboration and Leadership: Promote collaboration and inspire pharmacy staff by fostering a shared vision and supporting company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity. Support staff training experiences and development opportunities.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor and ensure compliance with all job responsibilities to meet objectives. Comply with company policies and procedures, including all HIPAA rules and regulations.
- State and Federal Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.
Essential Qualifications
- Licensure: Current Pharmacist license as granted by the appropriate state licensing authority. You must be eligible to obtain and maintain licensure in the state(s) required for this position.
- Professional Experience: Experience inspiring colleagues to research and resolve issues effectively. A track record of working with confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- Availability: Able to work non-standard hours, which may include nights, holidays, and/or weekends, as needed to meet business demands and patient care requirements.
- Time Management: Experience using time management skills, such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details, while meeting deadlines of various projects with varying completion dates.
- Self-Direction: Experience developing approaches to achieving goals with minimal supervision, depending on oneself to complete objectives, and knowing when to escalate issues appropriately.
- Customer Service: Experience providing customer service to internal and external clients, including meeting quality standards for services and evaluating customer satisfaction.
- Travel: Able to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state) as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Multi-State Licensure: Willingness to obtain additional state pharmacy licenses as required to support business operations.
- Insurance Knowledge: Knowledge of insurance plans and billing processes, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial pharmacy benefits.
- Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of computer operating systems, including RAD, Commitment, and Plus systems.
- Microsoft Excel Skills: Basic level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (for example: opening a workbook, inserting a row, selecting font and size, formatting cells as currency, using copy, paste and save functions, adjusting text, selecting cells, renaming a worksheet, inserting a column, selecting a chart style, inserting a worksheet, setting margins, selecting page orientation, using spell check and/or printing worksheets).
- Microsoft PowerPoint Skills: Basic level proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: embedding, editing, hiding and deleting slides, navigating between slides, expanding list levels, adding, centering and editing text, changing views, inserting a table or note, moving objects, printing handout view and/or running a slideshow).
- Microsoft Word Skills: Basic level proficiency in Microsoft Word (for example: opening a document, cutting, pasting and adjusting text, selecting font type and size, changing margins and paragraph width, formatting, inserting shots, images and dates, using find and replace, spell check, track changes, review pane and/or print capabilities).
