Intermediate Accountant - Assurance

BDO Canada is a firm built on positive relationships with clients and employees. They are seeking an Intermediate Accountant to conduct audit engagements, prepare financial statements, and maintain client relationships while contributing to a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and support audit engagements by preparing working papers and financial statements in accordance with regulatory standards
• Streamline the preparation of year-end engagements and tax returns for clients across diverse industries
• Foster positive working relationships with clients, and promptly address their requests and suggestions
• Maintain ongoing communication with team members regarding progress updates and issues

Skills

• You have completed or are currently working towards your CPA designation
• You possess a minimum of 1 year of audit experience in the public accounting industry
• You prioritize teamwork, client service, and quality while completing detailed work
• You exhibit strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
• You possess a solid understanding of accounting policies and assurance techniques
• You have exposure to or familiarity with ASPE, ASNPO, IFRS, or US GAAP standards (considered an asset)
