Position Overview: Remote Member Services Representative

As a Member Services Representative at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in our Medicaid services division, providing telephone assistance to Aetna Medicaid members and health care providers. Your primary responsibility is to deliver exceptional customer support through inbound calls, addressing a wide range of inquiries with professionalism, empathy, and accuracy.

This position offers the flexibility of working from home while remaining connected to our Charleston, WV office and team. You'll be equipped with everything you need to succeed, including company-provided equipment, comprehensive training, and ongoing support from our dedicated leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day work will be varied and meaningful. Here's what you can expect:


  • Inbound Call Handling: Answer incoming calls from Medicaid members and health care providers, responding to questions about benefits, eligibility, covered services, prior authorization requirements, and extra benefits or programs available to members.

  • Eligibility Support: Assist callers with understanding their coverage details, verifying eligibility status, and navigating the complexities of Medicaid benefits.

  • Provider Assistance: Support health care providers with inquiries regarding member coverage, billing questions, and administrative processes.

  • ID Card Requests: Process and fulfill requests for member identification cards efficiently and accurately.

  • Provider Changes: Assist members with updating their primary care providers or specialists as needed.

  • Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate records of all interactions using our customer relationship management systems.

  • Quality Assurance: Meet or exceed performance standards for call quality, customer satisfaction, productivity, and attendance.

  • Continuous Learning: Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay current with Medicaid policies, procedures, and system updates.

Work Environment and Schedule

This is a remote position, but with an important geographic requirement: you must live within 50 miles of Charleston, WV. This proximity ensures you can commute to our office location when necessary, such as during extended technical issues that prevent remote work.

Training Schedule (First 6 Weeks): Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM EST

Production Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM EST

We provide all necessary equipment, including a laptop, headset, and other tools needed for success. You'll also receive comprehensive training to ensure you're confident in your role from day one.

Technical Requirements for Remote Work

To succeed in this remote role, you must have:


  • High-speed internet connectivity with a secure, reliable ethernet cable connection (Wi-Fi is not permitted due to security requirements)

  • A dedicated, quiet workspace free from distractions
