What You'll Do

As a Legal & Data Compliance Intern on our Customer Engagement Marketing team, you will play a vital role in supporting our legal, security, and data compliance operations. This position offers a comprehensive learning experience where you will gain exposure to multiple facets of corporate legal and compliance functions while contributing to meaningful projects that impact our business operations.

Key Responsibilities


  • Support Marketing Compliance Initiatives: Assist the legal and compliance teams in reviewing and implementing marketing materials, campaigns, and promotional activities to ensure adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Data Privacy Analysis: Help monitor and assess data handling practices, including audience segmentation, third-party data sharing, and cookie/data tracking technologies to ensure compliance with evolving privacy regulations.
  • Contract Review Assistance: Participate in reviewing new and renewal contracts, including Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), business contracts, and advertising terms. You'll learn how to identify key legal provisions and ensure alignment with company policies.
  • Regulatory Research: Stay current with emerging data protection regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, COPPA, and ITP. Assist in developing guidance and recommended practices to ensure our organization remains compliant with new and existing requirements.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain detailed process documentation, workflow charts, and compliance reports. Your organizational skills will help streamline operations and support audit readiness.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams across marketing, legal, security, and product departments to review and manage unified compliance workflows while identifying opportunities for process improvements.
  • Audit Support: Assist in supporting legal and security audit processes, including gathering documentation, coordinating with stakeholders, and implementing corrective action recommendations.

Essential Qualifications


  • Academic Status: Currently enrolled as a senior undergraduate student at an accredited college or university, graduating within the next six months. Alternatively, you may be currently participating in the arenaflex School Program or Professional Internship Program.
  • Educational Background: Pursuing or holding a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Political Science, Pre-Law, Legal Studies, or a related field.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and professionally. Experience creating documentation and process flows is highly valued.
  • Time Management: Strong ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Analytical Thinking: Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze information, identify patterns, and develop practical solutions.
  • Work Authorization: Must have unrestricted work authorization to accept employment in the United States.
  • Availability: Must maintain a consistent, reliable schedule throughout the internship period, including availability for all interview processes.
  • Transportation: Must have reliable transportation to and from the work location.

  • Previous experience or coursework in data privacy, consumer protection, or regulatory compliance.
