Position Overview

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Analyst, Distribution Planning & Analysis to join our global Content Distribution team. In this pivotal role, you will provide critical planning, analysis, and operational support for content licensing deals to international accounts and for arenaflex's direct-to-consumer services worldwide.

This position offers exposure to the full spectrum of content distribution activities, from deal analysis and negotiation support to post-deal management and content valuation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple regions, including Business Operations, Legal, Finance, and Accounting, to ensure seamless execution of content licensing agreements. The role presents an excellent opportunity to develop deep expertise in global media distribution, financial analysis, and rights management within one of the world's most prestigious entertainment organizations.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Analyst, Distribution Planning & Analysis at arenaflex, you will be entrusted with a diverse range of responsibilities that are essential to our content distribution success. Your primary duties will include:

  • Global Deal Analysis & Support: Support comprehensive analysis of international account deals and manage post-deal activities for SVOD (Subscription Video on Demand) and DTC (Direct-to-Consumer) agreements. This includes thorough evaluation of deal terms, financial modeling, and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives across all markets.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with arenaflex's Content Outreach team, Business Operations, Legal, Finance, and Accounting departments to facilitate all licensing activities for SVOD and DTC clients. This involves both pre-deal preparation and post-deal execution, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.

  • Content Availability Management: Provide accurate and timely availability assessments for all content, including long-form feature films, exclusive originals, extended content, promotions, bonus materials, and interstitials. You will navigate complex rights holdbacks and restrictions arising from existing licenses, music rights, MVPD limitations, programming requirements, and asset availability.

  • Financial Analysis & Valuation: Conduct rigorous financial analysis and content valuation for all licensing deals in collaboration with partners across every region. This includes building complex financial models, analyzing revenue projections, and providing strategic recommendations to support senior leadership decision-making.

  • Deal Documentation: Prepare comprehensive deal summaries and transaction outlines for senior executive decision support. You will ensure all documentation is accurate, well-organized, and aligned with corporate standards.

  • Rights Management Administration: Oversee all agreements within our rights management system (Rightsline). Manage post-execution workflows, including drafting and distributing notices (such as start dates and new season announcements), calculating license fees, preparing receipt backups, and coordinating asset delivery timelines.

  • Deal Tracking & Compliance: Monitor deal decisions, Most Favored Nation (MFN) clauses, and expiration dates to ensure proactive management of all contractual deadlines and obligations.

  • DTC Services Support: Provide critical support for arenaflex's direct-to-consumer service operations. This includes managing content availability for DTC platforms, ensuring compliance with complex holdbacks and restrictions, and coordinating with regional teams on content windows and distribution guidelines.

  • Content Windows & Guidelines Development: Assist in developing global and regional content windows and policies, coordinating between DTC and Content Outreach teams. Enter and maintain these guidelines by region within our distribution platform's rights management system.

  • Quarterly Review Processes: Review and update rights entries in collaboration with regional DTC and Content Outreach teams on a quarterly basis to support accurate DTC quarter-end accounting statements and financial reporting.

  • Market Intelligence: Support ongoing content valuation for DTC services by providing global market data and comparable deal analysis to inform strategic decisions.

  • Rights Management for New Initiatives: Provide essential rights management support for DTC domain launches, new feature rollouts, and emerging business models to ensure smooth market entries and operational excellence.

Additional Key Projects

In addition to your core responsibilities, you will also be expected to:

  • Create analysis and presentation materials in response to ad-hoc requests from senior leadership and clients. These materials may include new distribution strategies, sales reporting for reviews and finance, market trend analysis, and industry best practices.

  • Collaborate with Finance and forecasting teams on Content Sales outcomes, annual operating plans, and long-range strategic plan presentations.
