About the Trust & Safety Team

The Trust and Safety (T&S) organization at arenaflex is dedicated to creating a safe and positive experience for our users, creators, and viewers worldwide. Our team works tirelessly to understand and address online safety concerns, prevent malicious actors from causing harm, and develop policies that protect our community while preserving freedom of expression. We are the guardians of the arenaflex ecosystem, ensuring that our platform remains a place where creativity thrives and authentic connections flourish.

Within this critical mission, the Trust and Safety, Adversarial Abuse and Investigation team stands at the forefront of combating bad actors and generating actionable insights across the entire organization. We partner with Product Management and Engineering to improve detection capabilities and tooling, collaborate with Global Operations for scaled enforcement, and work alongside Policy Development to create comprehensive policies and updated guidelines. Our work is dynamic, fast-paced, and incredibly meaningful.

Role Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced and strategic leader to join our executive team as the Senior Director, Global Head of Adversarial Abuse & Analytics. This is a senior leadership position that offers the opportunity to shape the future of online safety and trust at one of the world's most innovative technology companies.

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of adversarial abuse, including account takeovers, terminated users, engagement manipulation, spam, and emerging threats. The Adversarial Abuse team is dedicated to the early detection of emerging trends and operational enforcement, while also providing strategic input to Product Management and Engineering to build data infrastructure and tools that keep pace with rapidly evolving abuse patterns.

The Business Analytics team, which falls under your purview, is responsible for measuring abuse, interpreting complex datasets, generating actionable insights, and producing standard reporting through comprehensive dashboards for the entire Trust and Safety organization. This team also develops transparency and compliance reports for countries around the world, ensuring that arenaflex maintains the highest standards of accountability and openness.

This position requires occasional on-call availability, including weekend and holiday coverage on a rotational basis, as we operate around the clock to protect our global community.

Key Responsibilities


  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead the Adversarial Abuse team responsible for identifying and removing actors attempting account takeovers, spam, engagement manipulation, evasion of termination, and other malicious activities. Additionally, oversee the Business Analytics team responsible for generating insights, estimating uncaught badness, and distributing Transparency Reports for countries worldwide.

  • Strategic Risk Anticipation: Understand, anticipate, and intelligently moderate risks arising from new and scaling industry trends, including emerging technologies such as generative AI and other innovative threats that could impact platform safety.

  • Policy Collaboration: Work closely with the Policy Development team to create policies utilizing account, social, and content signals to characterize harmful behavior, ensuring comprehensive protection mechanisms.

  • Operational Excellence: Deliver effective and efficient operational performance—including quality, service levels—in a global team operating 24×7. This includes recruiting, retaining, managing, and developing top talent.

  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Manage escalations with rapid turnaround times, provide data and content-driven insights, and implement solutions while building relationships with key cross-functional partners to help launch new products and policies that effectively prevent adversarial abuse.

  • Trend Analysis: Stay ahead of emerging threats by monitoring industry trends, conducting proactive research, and developing mitigation strategies before threats materialize.

  • Executive Communication: Present findings, recommendations, and strategic updates to senior leadership, translating complex data into actionable business insights.

Essential Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in risk management, fraud fighting at scale, and building/delivering analytical insights in a technology or media environment.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with engineering teams that build data infrastructure and machine learning models, demonstrating technical fluency and collaborative capabilities.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience leading teams with the ability to work non-standard weeks as accelerations require, including availability for weekend and holiday coverage.

  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguous situations and drive results in a rapidly changing environment.

  • Strong leadership presence with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with cross-functional partners.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Advanced degree in a related field such as analytics, engineering, data science, or business administration.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with analysis of large datasets and anomaly detection techniques.

  • Direct experience or demonstrated interest in anti-abuse activities within technology platforms.

  • Proficiency in SQL, R, or Matlab for advanced data analysis and visualization.

  • Exceptional influencing and executive communication skills with the ability to build consensus across diverse stakeholder groups.

  • Excellent business judgment, strategic and analytical capabilities, including the ability to use data to drive strategy and business action.

  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing industry and manage ambiguity while minimizing uncertainty through quantitative insights.

  • Experience with transparency reporting and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
