What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Associate at arenaflex, you'll play a multifaceted role that goes beyond traditional cash register duties. You'll be the face of our store, creating lasting impressions that keep customers coming back. Here's what you can expect:

Customer Experience & Engagement



  • Greet and Welcome: Greet every customer and patient with a warm, genuine smile. Offer assistance with products and services in a way that makes them feel valued and respected.

  • Resolve Issues: Address customer concerns and questions promptly and professionally. Turn potentially negative situations into positive outcomes that leave customers satisfied and loyal to arenaflex.

  • Deliver Excellence: Model and share customer service best practices with your team. Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal habits including proper greeting, eye contact, and courtesy. embody arenaflex service traits such as offering help proactively, identifying needs, and servicing customers until they are completely satisfied.

Sales & Register Operations



  • Process Transactions: Register sales on your assigned cash register with accuracy and efficiency. Provide customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service that makes their shopping experience pleasant.

  • Handle Payments: Collect cash and distribute change as requested. Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed, ensuring all transactions are handled correctly.

  • Recommend Products: Suggest items for sale to customers and recommend trade-up and/or companion items. Your product knowledge will help customers find exactly what they need.

  • Upselling Opportunities: Identify opportunities to enhance the customer experience through thoughtful product recommendations.

Store Operations & Merchandising



  • Maintain Store Appearance: Keep counters and shelves clean, well-organized, and properly merchandised. A tidy, attractive store creates a positive shopping environment.

  • Inventory Management: Take inventory and maintain accurate records. Check in and price merchandise as required or as directed by the store manager or communicated by the shift leader.

  • Product Placement: Assist with separation of food items (e.g., raw foods from pre-cooked) and product placement as specified by policies and procedures. Ensure raw and frozen meats are placed on bottom shelves for safety and organization.

  • Stock Rotation: For consumable items, assist in stock rotation using the first in, first out (FIFO) method and restock outs to ensure product freshness and minimize waste.

  • Asset Protection: Implement company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss. Be vigilant about preventing shrinkage and protecting arenaflex resources.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products such as alcoholic beverages and tobacco products.

Visual Merchandising & Displays



  • Create Attractive Displays: Construct and maintain eye-catching displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise that draw customer attention.

  • Complete Resets: Complete resets and revisions as directed by management to keep the store fresh and exciting.

Photo Center & Digital Services



  • Photo Services: Provide exceptional customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster prints, and creative machine operations.

  • Suggestive Selling: Suggestively sell promotional photo products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.

  • Web Pick-Up: Assume web pick-up responsibilities by monitoring orders in our Picture Care Plus system, filling orders (picking items), and delivering orders to customers as they arrive at the store.

Store Maintenance



  • Interior Maintenance: Assist with interior maintenance by ensuring the store is clean, neat, orderly, and inviting.

  • Exterior Maintenance: Assist with exterior maintenance to ensure our store presents a positive image to everyone who passes by.

Teamwork & Professionalism



  • Follow Policies: Comply with all company policies and procedures while maintaining respectful relationships with coworkers.

  • Special Assignments: Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned by management.

What We're Looking For: Qualifications

Basic Qualifications



  • Language Skills: Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)

  • Flexibility: Requires willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours. Retail environments thrive on adaptability, and we need team members who can roll with the flow.

  • Availability: Must be available to work during store hours, which may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications



  • Retail Experience: Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment. If you've worked in customer-facing roles before, you'll have a leg up!

  • Industry Background: Prior work experience with arenaflex is a plus, but not required. We value fresh perspectives and are excited to train the right candidate.

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication abilities and a natural tendency to engage with people from all walks of life.

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
