Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced professional to join arenaflex as a Senior Data Engineer specializing in financial data management and analytics. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our data infrastructure, ensuring the seamless flow and accessibility of critical financial information across the organization. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to develop data products that are not only technically sound but also align with our strict governance, risk, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

As a key member of the arenaflex data engineering team, you will:

Design and implement robust data pipelines and integration processes that enable efficient data flow across multiple sources and platforms

Develop and maintain data contracts and documentation that ensure consistency, accuracy, and reliability of financial data across the organization

Coordinate with stakeholders and partner teams to deliver data products that are discoverable, easy to understand, and compliant with regulatory requirements

Maintain strong relationships with business partners to ensure data solutions are properly measured and strategically aligned with overall organizational data strategy

Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop data product strategies that align with financial goals and business objectives

Perform gap analysis and manage the transition of financial data structures from legacy systems to modernized cloud-based platforms

Create and execute project timelines, budgets, acceptance criteria, and service level agreements

Mentor and guide junior team members, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of technical excellence

Ensure adherence to data governance frameworks and compliance standards throughout the data delivery lifecycle

Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and tools that can enhance arenaflex's data capabilities

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role at arenaflex, you must have:

A minimum of 5 years of experience delivering data solutions, including direct leadership of engineering resources and teams

Proven experience in data product management with a focus on financial products or solutions

Strong data modeling design and documentation skills, with experience following the complete delivery lifecycle from business engagement through to logical, physical, and practical data design and project delivery

Experience supporting data, business intelligence, and AI/ML needs across various business units

Deep technical expertise in data, platforms, and tools including:
- AWS (Amazon Web Services)
- Snowflake
- dbt (data build tool)
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CDK)

Hands-on experience with streaming data processing concepts, including batch and real-time near real-time understanding creation and distribution

Strong collaboration and partnership skills with the ability to engage and influence across the organization, including executive leadership

A solid foundation in best practices and standards in data and engineering

Deep technical expertise in data engineering delivery practices, with the ability to address skills and processes at various levels of the organization

Experience working in hospitality, travel, or media industries is preferred
