About This Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Building Controls Specialist to join our Building Performance and Controls team. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring customer and partner safety and comfort while minimizing service costs for complex building systems. You'll conduct diagnostic procedures, provide proactive solutions to issues, implement advanced programming techniques, and follow up to ensure the effectiveness of your solutions.

What You'll Do

As a Building Controls Specialist at arenaflex, your primary responsibility will be to maintain and optimize building automation systems across our extensive facility network.   • System Diagnostics and Troubleshooting: Conduct thorough diagnostic procedures to identify issues with building control systems. You'll analyze system data, interpret error codes, and determine the root cause of problems to implement effective solutions.

  • Programming and Configuration: Perform advanced programming tasks on building control systems, including adjusting or modifying control sequences, configuring setpoints, and implementing custom logic to meet specific building requirements.

  • Proactive Problem Solving: Identify potential issues before they become major problems by monitoring system trends, analyzing performance data, and implementing preventive maintenance strategies.

  • Alert and Work Order Management: Monitor and respond to system alerts, alarms, and work orders in a timely manner. You'll identify patterns in system behavior and take corrective action to prevent recurring issues.

  • Manufacturer Recall Response: Stay current with manufacturer communications and recalls. Identify when building systems are affected by recalls or bulletins and coordinate implementation of necessary fixes or upgrades.

  • Energy Optimization: Program daylight harvesting systems and implement sustainability measures that drive energy reductions. You'll contribute to our environmental goals by optimizing system performance.

  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams in building performance and controls. Share resources, information, and tools to ensure seamless operations across all facilities.
